Road to Life
Dr. Pradeep and Dr. Kiruba Stephen have a deep burden from the Lord to bring healing to those bound by addiction. Along with their children, they have traveled extensively across the United States, ministering in over 25 states at both secular and Christian alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers. During these ministry engagements, they have witnessed men and women of all ages ignited with the love and zeal for God at faith-based institutions such as Teen Challenge, Walter Hoving Home, and Youth Challenge. Services have been marked by powerful worship and the Word, with campus pastors and directors often sharing how deeply the Lord touched lives during these times. Countless testimonies have followed, with many experiencing profound transformation in both physical and mental health. They have also ministered at Crossroads Recovery INC. in New Haven, Connecticut, a secular rehabilitation center, where many individuals struggling with addiction have experienced salvation, deliverance, and healing. After more than ten years of ministry in this field and witnessing the freedom God brings through the Holy Spirit, the Lord birthed the Road to Life (RTL) ministry through Pastor Kiruba and Pastor Pradeep. RTL was established with clear vision and direction from the Lord to impart His burden and equip a dedicated team from ELBIM Church to minister to those struggling with addiction. Under their leadership, the RTL team gathered every Saturday for over two years for fasting and prayer, seeking God’s preparation for this ministry. During these times, the Word of God was shared to impart vision and deepen the burden for those bound by addiction. The foundation of RTL remains fasting and prayer, and the team continues to carry and share this vision. RTL consists of three core areas of ministry:
RTL Aftercare Program RTL also ministers in both state-run secular and Christian rehabilitation centers, offering encouragement, spiritual support, and practical hope within recovery environments. The program is for those serious about living free from addiction. It provides a Christ-centered environment focused on practical education, spiritual growth, and personal empowerment, equipping each participant to become stable, productive, and purpose-driven. RTL supports participants in securing safe housing after recovery and provides holistic guidance for rebuilding life with stability and direction. Key areas of support include job readiness training, financial stewardship, counseling, and spiritual care to help individuals remain grounded and resilient against relapse. Participants are also taught healthy living habits, how to build strong family and community relationships, and how to identify and avoid abuse and toxic relationships. RTL further emphasizes work ethic, responsibility, and accountability, preparing individuals for long-term employment. Above all, the program encourages living with eternal purpose and following the example of Jesus Christ to bring healing and hope to others through the power of the Holy Spirit. |
