Joy in the MorningHospice Ministry
Joy in the Morning is a hospice outreach ministry born from the burden the Lord placed on Pastor Kiruba Stephen’s heart to bring comfort and God’s love to those nearing the end of their earthly journey. This ministry is carried out by trained team members who share the love of Jesus with these precious individuals, many of whom are alone and without hope. Our mission is to bring the presence of the Living God to patients confined to their hospital rooms or beds at Hospice of Orange & Sullivan and Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice. Our vision is for each patient to experience God’s love, peace, joy, and hope through Christ and to prepare their hearts for their forever home. We enter these institutions with prayer and love for each patient, singing songs of comfort, offering prayers of assurance, and sharing scripture passages of hope and love. We seek to be present with them during this final stage of life, showing that they are cherished, seen, and never forgotten. Every visit matters because it may be the last. Our team is fully hospice compliant, having completed nationally recognized hospice training through Relias. With all mandatory hospice training fulfilled, our team is equipped to minister safely, ethically, and compassionately in delicate physical and emotional situations. Training includes:
Caring for those at the end of life is a holy calling. To stand beside each individual, advocate for them and their families, and lovingly guide them toward the everlasting arms of Jesus Christ is a profound God-given privilege. |
